Wordless Wednesday: Snowless Winter in Chicagoland (LINKY)

Happy Wordless Wednesday!

I hope you're all having a good week.

Here in Chicagoland we have had a strange winter. A winter with no snow. Can you believe that?!? Well this past weekend we finally got a little dusting. Gracie got a cool sled from her grandparents but we have not been able to use it just yet. Well, until this weekend! Here is the *little bit* of snow we got...

We have a perfect sledding hill for a 3 year old! Not too steep...

Oops, good thing mommy was standing on the curb to stop her!

Waiting for the bus...

And this was a few days prior to our little snowfall... we had rain. TONS of rain.

Crazy Chicagoland weather this year for sure!

Well this is good enough for me. I don't need ANY more snowfall this year and I will be super happy! I hate the cold weather and will be so happy when spring comes.

  2. Yeah it's hard to be bummed about not having snow although its an indication of crazy climate change weather bound to get more severe. Luckily we humans are fairly adaptable.

  3. That's a cool little sled. And your neighbor here in Indiana agrees. This winter weather is NUTS!

  4. That sled is so cool! I'm glad you at least got a dusting for that! No snow here in VA. We're missing it terribly! Like it's not even winter here!

  6. You should move to Texas if you hate the cold... ok, SOUTH Texas. Today it is raining, but yesterday it was BEAUTIFUL. The weather changes faster than you can change your mind! LOL!
She is so beautiful in that picture waiting for the bus! All that pink against all that white!

  7. Love all of the pics but I must admit - it's making me COLD. It was so warm here yesterday that I had to turn on the ceiling fans just to be comfy. Ahh, life in the south :).

    1. We want to move south, but I have to wait til my 3 older kids graduate HS... which is in about 5 years. THEN we are OUT OF HERE!! Hubby wants GA, NC, SC... I want NC or SC or FL but hubby says NO WAY to FL. So we will see. I CAN'T WAIT!

And I'm with you. Snow is blah. Cold is blah. You should move to AZ. :)

    1. I JUST HEARD ABOUT THAT! The news was saying over 2 feet!! OMGosh better you than me. I'm happy we've had a weird winter and have only gotten a little dusting of snow this year. I'd hate to have that storm coming at us. We have the other end of it - the rain and sleet. Cold, messy. But at least we don't have to shovel/plow this year. So far.

  13. That sled is so cute! I wish we could go sledding here- I remember doing it {in Chicago!} when I was a kid.
