Yes, that's what I said... 1 minute microwave cake!
How much easier could you get!?!
My mom showed up yesterday with two boxes of cake mix to show me this 'neat' thing she learned. And she kept saying "1 - 2 - 3... just remember 1 - 2- 3"
So here's the details...
Recipe
One box of Angel Food Cake (MUST BE Angel Food Cake)
One box of other cake mix, any flavor, any color.
Coffee Mug
Directions
Mix the two cakes together. No other ingredients, just cake mix.
3. 3 Tablespoons of cake mix, put into coffee mug.
2. 2 Tablespoons of water, mix into cake mix.
1. 1 Minute in microwave
Get it?
'3 - 2 - 1' - Isn't that easy?!?
The cake cooks really perfect and with a butter knife you can circle around the edges and pop out the little cake. It's a perfect single size serving... this is great!
We used Angel Food Confetti Cake and Strawberry. It had the texture of angel food cake, but a hint of strawberry flavor.

I decided to play around with it and I made the next one with double the 3 and 2 haha... I put in 6 tablespoons of cake mix and 4 tablespoons of water. It cooked up double the size (go figure!) and it cooked perfectly too. It didn't even stick to the mug.

I wish I had a pretty picture with frosting on this cake or fruit and whipped cream... but I wasn't prepared for my mom to bring this over haha.
I think this would be a great cake to give the kids after dinner. Put some fruit on the top and it would be a really nice sweet treat.
I put the remaining cake mix into a gallon size Ziploc bag with a tablespoon scooper for convenience. That way I can let the kids make a little cake and it's all ready to go.

If you get a chance, check out some of my other recipes!
