Welcome to Week 46
Friendly Debates With The Danielle’s!
Each Week Danielle from "Happenings of the Harper Household" and I (Danielle) will host this awesome meme and we would love for you to link up and join us.
I do not believe tweens or young teens should be allowed to shop at Victoria’s Secret. Not even with a parent.
Victoria’s Secret promotes sexiness. Plain and simple. A young girl does not have any reason to be or act sexy or feel.
There are things like pajamas at VS that are not necessarily ‘sexy’ but you still need to go into the store or online to shop so you still see the sexuality which is not necessary for a young girl.
I can see [possibly] a 17 year old who has her own job, purchasing from VS on her own. But anything younger, no. And really, what mother would be okay with bringing her young daughter into a VS and allowing her to purchase sexy undies? I just can not see that happening.
My older daughter is 13 and will be 14 in November and I just can not see her in sexy lingerie. No way. I would not let her shop in VS. It’s hard for me to imagine my step-daughter shopping in VS although she is 19 and obviously old enough to make her own decisions. Just weird though.
Oh and that photo above is a pajama set at VS. You can find the same type of outfit at other stores, so why the need to even go into a VS is beyond me. See these other pajama pants on the right? Those are from Kohl’s. Now why can’t our young girls purchase these things at stores other than VS? This way, there is not even a need to go into a VS.
And any kind of lingerie (bras, panties) are just an absolute no. Absolutely not. There is no reason for a young girl to need sexy bras or panties. No reason at all.
What do you think about tweens or young teens shopping at Victoria’s Secret?
