If you head into any gym or health club and you will see a variety of exercise mats and yoga mats. The exercise mats vary in size and are thicker than yoga mats, but unfortunately, these mats do not compare to the Portable ABMat. The ABMat is much sturdier than these typical mats along with the benefits of the ABMat being portable and easy to store.
You want something convenient that can be used anywhere…
Something for crunches, sit-ups, stretching and other crucial exercises…
You want the Portable ABMat!

The Portable ABMat is an exercise mat that is specifically designed to help you isolate your core muscles. It has assistance handles and foot and head straps to help you hold your body in the correct positions while you exercise. The purpose of these handles and straps is to hold your body in perfect form to isolate the abdominal muscles.
Our household is one of those households that has had quite a few pieces of exercise equipment and we are always interested in the next best thing. When I was sent the Portable ABMat to review I was excited to give it a good testing and so was my family.
My husband is a type 2 diabetic and he has realized that he can control his blood sugar by working out regularly. My son on the other hand has had a huge growth spurt this past summer and he is realizing that he is able to build and tone his muscles with a very small amount of work.
As for me, my son and 2 of my older girls, we make exercising fun. In the evening time, we have contests. We compete while doing sit-ups or crunches in a few different ways, push ups, and sometimes squats. What we do is this: we all grab a spot on the floor and say ‘go’… we all do the exercise until we can not do any more. The “last man standing” is the winner!
The Portable ABMat has really helped all of us with all of our ab workouts! In fact, my kids will fight me for it – so we all need to take turns. They swear that the one using the ABMat is always the winner, haha… I’m not so sure about that. My husband on the other hand, claims that he can not do sit ups or crunches – but with the ABMat he can. The footstraps and handles really help assist him. He is now able to do a few different kinds of ab exercises. (Thank you ABMat… haha)
We love the Portable ABMat because:
- It is portable and lightweight so we can fold it and bring it upstairs or use it downstairs in our family room.
- The footstraps mimic that extra person holding your feet when doing sit ups or crunches.
- The handles are excellent for assistance and help guide your body and keep it in correct position for the particular exercise you are doing.
- The ABMat is perfect for sit-ups, crunches, stretching exercises and yoga, and if you add the resistance bands, you can also do arm exercises too.
- You can purchase the Total Body Blaster as a digital download or DVD + digital download so you can get a complete abdominal circuit workout in seven minutes! I’d love to try that!
Head over to Portable ABMat and take a peek around!

Wow!! Those look REALLY awesome!!! Love how you can put your feet in them!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this. I am an avid exerciser so this would be great!
ReplyDeleteWow, that looks really helpful! When I get my stomach muscles repaired and can start doing ab exercises again, I want one!
ReplyDeleteThat is great! Thanks for sharing. THat's going on my Christmas list. :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks really awesome. I so need to work on my tummy muscles too!
ReplyDeleteI love the footstraps! I feel like I might actually do more situps with this in the house. And by do more, I mean do them more often, not more in one 'sitting'. lol
ReplyDeleteI love that it is so portable. So often I don't get workouts done at home because my daughter is wanting to play in different rooms. I like that I could just pick this up and move it wherever she is playing!
ReplyDeleteUgh, I need some serious help when it comes to exercising. I have nothing here to help out. This would probably so much nicer than only using the floor.
